- AWeber. An e-mail service for blog digests, e-newsletters, e-courses, and other e-mail marketing intiatives. Aweber is a leader in giving you all the control - including how often and when you want RSS feeds delivered.
- Bluehost is a great beginner web hosting company. It includes unlimited emails and domains, ability to stream video and audio files, special web security features, discussion lists, and shell/WebDav access. Another good hosting company is SiteGround. Both web hosting services keep up with the times.
I do not recommend GoDaddy unless it is for a basic website because it has some restrictive settings that make it to difficult to implement a full-featured Drupal, Wordpress or Joomla site.
- Adobe Dreamweaver or a CMS is recommended for complete web design. For editing existing websites or newsletters, we recommend Adobe Contribute (for websites using Dreamweaver Templates), NVU (open source), or Google Docs. Do not use Microsoft Word or Email Editor for writing content - you cannot cut and paste it into a website.
- Pixie (free) assists you with finding the hexadecimal code for any color you choose.
- Drupal. A free, open-source content management system (CMS) for a general website, community portals, member sites, and forums. Joomla! is another great option.
- Wordpress.com and Blogger are great hosted, community blog sites. Wordpress gives you more control of how content is published. Blogger makes it easy to publish audio and video files.
Wordpress.org or Drupal are great if you host your own blog on your web server. Wordpress has a feature for making it easy to import postings from your hosted blog. Drupal is a CMS that allows you to create other content such as forums, business directories, etc.
